I didn't swim today, but yesterday I had the honour of directing 52 swimmers safely from Kingston to Wolfe Island (Ontario, Canada), across the waterway where Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River meet. 13 swimmers did a 10km route, 39 swimmers did a 5km route, all finished, supported by about 80+ volunteers. A late start due to threat of lightening storm threw things off a little, but we held off and eventually got everyone into the water. My happiest moments: watching with pride and excitement from the safety crew motorboat, handing out finisher medals, and getting hugs from happy swimmers. Once it was all over, I finished off the day with a glorious dip in Lake Ontario with the former race director

Deborah. What a fantastic day!!!
